At the heart of Chartreuse are partners Mark Mainville and Tony Verdi.  Mark is an experienced designer and event planner with over ten years in the business.  Tony, a psychologist, is sensitive to client needs and knows how to deliver customer service.  Both have an eye for beautiful things, and together they have fashioned a staff of professional and talented individuals.

History:

In June 2000, Chartreuse was conceived and opened at 12th and Spruce Streets in Center City Philadelphia.  The location was an ideal one having been a flower shop for the prior 15 years.

After10 years as a fixture in Center City on the corner of 12th and Spruce Streets, Chartreuse will move to East Passyunk Avenue . With this move comes an expanded retail space and expanded hours, in a friendly and exciting area of South Philadelphia .

Only a few blocks south of Center City , East Passyunk Avenue has been recognized by The New York Times for its fine restaurants, local pubs, trendy clothing stores, and earth friendly shopping.

Chartreuse will closed its Spruce Street store on Friday April 16 in preparation for a May 1st opening at 1616 East Passyunk Avenue .
